Dr. LaFrance earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She joined the Fort Saskatchewan Veterinary Clinic Ltd a month after graduating. She became a partner in the clinic with Dr. McCartney in 2010.
Dr. LaFrance took her pre-veterinary medicine studies at the University of Alberta where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture majoring in Animal Science. She has 3 pointers: Dinger, Bones, and Goods, and one Shih Tzu named Annie.
Dr. Monica Bosnyak earned her veterinary degree from the University of Calgary. She was part of the first graduating class of 2012. She joined the Fort Saskatchewan Veterinary Clinic Ltd in May 2012 and has bought in as a partner with Dr. LaFrance in April of 2016.
She grew up knowing she always wanted to be a vet just like her grandfather. She has an interest in small animal orthopedics and dentistry and has focused her studies in those areas since graduating from Veterinary Medicine.
Beyond work, she trains for triathlons and does water trials with her Portuguese Water Dogs Micah, Aryeh, and Keziah. When she has the opportunity, she enjoys travelling and summiting mountains such as Kilimanjaro and Machu Picchu.
Dr. Downey earned her degree in veterinary medicine from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) in 2009. She joined the Fort Saskatchewan Veterinary Clinic Ltd initially in 2001 as a Registered Veterinary Technologist and then again in 2009 as a veterinarian. Karen grew up in Edmonton, but moved to Fort Saskatchewan in 2009 where she currently resides with her family: her husband, her two sons, and her rescue dog Chance.
Dr. Wink earned her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Calgary, graduating in 2016. She joined Fort Saskatchewan Veterinary Clinic Ltd in May 2017. Becca grew up in the Fort Saskatchewan area. She has two dogs, Tootie (Maltese/Yorkie) and Charlie (Border terrier), one cat, Prim, and two horses Ben and Max.
Erin has been with the Fort Saskatchewan Veterinary Clinic Ltd since May of 2002. She currently works as a registered veterinary technologist and the office manager. Erin grew up on a farm in the Fort Saskatchewan area and has worked at the clinic since before graduating from the Registered Veterinary Technology program at NAIT in 2003. Erin has a Labrador retriever named Macey.
Ashley graduated from Registered Veterinary Technology in 2007 from Lakeland College. Ashley worked at an animal veterinary emergency center before moving to the Fort Saskatchewan Veterinary Clinic Ltd in 2009. She has an interest in canine behavior. She has two dogs named Gunner (Bernese Mountain Dog mix) and Millie (St. Bernard cross) and one cat named Olive.
Amy started at the Fort Saskatchewan Veterinary Clinic Ltd in the spring of 2011. Prior to joining the clinic, she volunteered at the Edmonton Humane Society. She attended NAIT where she graduated from Registered Veterinary Technology May 2011 with honours. Amy’s pets are Brynn, Sophie, Neeka, and and Oliver Newton.
Danielle started at the Fort Saskatchewan Veterinary Clinic Ltd as a practicum student following her graduation from the Registered Veterinary Technology program at NAIT in 2012. After completing the practicum, we brought her on as a full time AHT. She has an Akita mix named Harper and a cat named Napoleon.
Sara graduated from the Registered Veterinary Technology program in 2010 at NAIT Fairview campus. She has an interest in exotics and did her practicum at the Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg, MB following graduation. She lives with her husband, child, and 3 rescue dogs Missy and Maddie (Shih Tzu mixes) and Noah (Shepherd mix).
Meg graduated from the Registered Veterinary Technology Program at the Northern College in Ontario in 2011. Her early experiences as an AHT were with the Humane Society. She developed an interest in emergency medicine and worked for the Guardian Vet Centre in Edmonton. She started at the Fort Saskatchewan Veterinary Clinic Ltd in spring of 2016. Her pets are Puma Max, Lilly and Shelby Loo.
Alicia graduated from the Veterinary Medical Assistant program at Lakeland College in May 2014. She grew up on a farm north of Lamont and has been around animals all her life. She enjoys spending time outside with her horses and her dog Winston.
Jessica is currently attending the Animal Health Technologist program at NAIT. In her spare time, she enjoys her interest in animal photography. She has a dog named Hodgins and a cat named Pounce. Jess is working as a receptionist for the clinic on Saturdays and often as holiday relief during the year.
